Not everyone has a talented sister as a bridal designer !

It was an absolute delight for Susanne to capture my personality and style into my dream dress, it was so so exciting from start to finish as i let Susanne take control to bring the creation to life . Every detail was thought of from the hand selected lace to blush pink pearls , it was perfect every way !!!!

When I went to see Susanne to discuss my wedding dress I wasn't sure what I wanted. I'd never had an idea of a dream dress in my head and with the covid situation I didn't like the idea of going round lots of different wedding dress shops to try things on, particularly as my mum and bridesmaids would be unable to join me. At my initial appointment we discussed all the things I thought I wanted in a dress and Susanne created a beautiful design that I just loved. I was so excited/nervous when I went to try on my finished dressed and was so delighted with the end result. The dress was absolutely beautiful and I loved wearing it on my wedding day. I feel incredibly lucky to get to wear it again later this year for our wedding part 2! The whole experience was magical and I would recommend Susanne Christyne bridal 100%.

I booked in with Susanne as my first and only experience going into a bridal store was not positive in the slightest. I felt conscious of myself and figure and being put in a room full of other brides and people was not my idea of fun. I loved the fact it was all one on one meetings with Susanne. It makes the experience of being a bride feel so much more special. When I had ideas running through my head Susanne guided me in the right direction. The outcome of my dress is more than I could have ever dreamed of. The moment I put my dress on I was so overwhelmed with emotion, this was the dress I knew I always wanted and it was mine.

Incredibly talented and all round wonderful human being is how I'd best describe Susanne Christyne.

I first met Susanne when my sister got her to design her wedding dress 3 years ago and she was absolutely amazing. So it seemed only fitting that when it was my turn, I went to see her first. From start to finish Susanne makes you feel like you are the only bride in the world. She takes you through every process so carefully and listens exactly to what you want, like or dislike. I wasn't having a 'big fancy do' so I was running a bit late on the dress front and my style is a bit 'alternative' so I knew I wouldn't be able to get something off the peg but Susanne managed to create a dress unique to me. It pleasantly surprised my family and friends while still giving me witchy/Stevie nicks sleeves that I instantly fell in love with. She also sorted me out with the most loveliest hairstylist which took a lot of stress away.

I never thought I would have went for a 'traditional' wedding gown but I'm so happy I did and so grateful it was Susanne that designed and made it. My dress survived a beer garden reception, a trip to Glencoe and I can't wait to wear it again on our actual reception next year.

I have been recommending Susanne to everyone since my sister got married and I honestly urge any bride to be to make an appointment with her. You will not be disappointed - she simply is the best in the business.

I used to pass Susanne's shop on George Square on the bus on my way to work and always stared at the dresses in the window thinking that if/when I ever get married that's where I want to go for my dress.

When we got engaged and booked our wedding I went googling for "wedding shop George Square" to discover that Susanne had moved out to Motherwell and that all those dresses in the window I'd admired for years were actually made by her!

I made an appointment with Susanne and instantly loved her - she is the loveliest, kindest person and just a joy to be around. Then I discovered she is a creative genius!

I had some ideas that I put to Susanne and she put her ideas with mine and began sketching - WOW - I said yes to the dress simply by seeing the sketch she had drawn.

Susanne instantly knew what would be the best fit/shapes for me. We went through materials and picked what would suit the dress. Fast forward a couple of months and I go to Susanne's studio to find the most stunning dress there waiting for me. It was so much nicer than the image I had in my head - I tried it on and actually stood there thinking "I can't actually believe I'm wearing something this beautiful".

But the design process doesn't end there...Susanne had suggestions as to how we could make what was already a stunning dress more beautiful, we had a few further meetings and fittings; beads were added, a veil, the coat reshaped at the bottom, a change for night time introduced (I took the coat off and put another stunning top piece on) - Susanne was not letting this dress leave until it was PERFECT!

I loved my dress so much. There's not a day that has passed since our wedding that I don't think about it, talk about it, and wonder when I can find an opportunity to wear it again (every anniversary I'll be sat at my dining table in it 🙂).

What I love most of all is that I'll never see another bride wearing the same dress and this is the reason I didn't buy a dress from a shop. I didn't think a bespoke made dress would be an option for me thinking it would be way out of my budget, however it was totally do-able.

Everyone should have their own custom made dress - and the designer should be Susanne. I could literally write a book on my Susanne Christyne experience.

I'm gutted that our dress journey has ended - Susanne - I adore you! Thank you so much for making me look and feel like an absolute princess xx
