"I could not recommend Susanne highly enough. Not only did she make my dream dress a reality, she shared so much kindness towards me through a difficult time (due to restrictions I was not able to share my wedding dress experience with any family or friends).

During my initial hunt for wedding dresses, Susanne had cropped up but I wanted to have the bridal shop experience. After several shops and countless dresses, I contacted Susanne in the hope that she would be able to help.

I instantly felt safe in her hands, just by speaking over the phone and relaying my vision, she put me at ease and instantly gave me reassurance around my thoughts, so it was a very easy decision to go with Susanne!

Our meetings were few but I felt so special. What I especially loved was being able to choose all the little details of my dress that only I would know and share with who I wanted. On top of knowing how to take what I wanted and create the most stunning dress, she was there to lend a listening ear and provide encouragement in all aspects of our special day.

So many people commented on how my dress was so unique to me. The worst thing I could imagine was seeing another bride wearing the same dress and I can very happily guarantee that will never be the case, because Susanne made sure that the dress was extremely personal and could only ever be my wedding dress.

I was recommended to you by a family member as they had their wedding dress done by yourself and I absolutely loved it. I was looking online at dresses and nothing seemed to catch my attention, In which case I booked my first appointment with you and since then you have went above and beyond.   On my first appointment i left feeling like a princess and could not wait to return but sadly due to Covid19 we had to move our wedding not once but 4 times and during that time you were able to accommodate myself. My second appointment I was able to have some family members with me and the dress I designed with you was made, trying this on I couldn't wait to show my family in which they cried. From then it was all go and we were allowed to go ahead with our wedding but me being me brought it forward because I just wanted to be in the dress. From collecting the dress 2 weeks before the wedding it was nicely packed and steamed which is very kind of you. Our wedding date was the 18th of June 2021 and I wish I could wear my dress all the time, I got loads of compliments from family members about how much detail and time was taken to make this wonderful dress just for me.

From the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you for making me feel super special on my wedding day and designing the dress with yourself was the best thing I have ever done.

My experience with Susanne was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From that first phone call I felt that Susanne could also envision my idea and dream. It filled me with so much joy and excitement to hear her start to speak my vision into existence. The communication was outstanding, Susanne kept in touch and also answered any messages that I sent promptly.

I didn’t try on any dresses before my actual wedding dress as I was looking for something specific that was a must in my dress. I wanted full, long sleeves and every dress that I saw online either had no sleeves or the sleeves were lace, so on top of the stress of planning my wedding during the uncertain times of the pandemic I was starting to lose hope that my dream dress existed. Thankfully Susanne then came to my rescue and confirmed that she could absolutely make the dress I wanted.  She was so professional and friendly; it was incredible to have someone with such vast experience of weddings reassure me that what I wanted was a possibility.  The knowledge and experience she has left me feeling so confident that this dress would be everything I dreamed of.

I was able to try on different styles of bodices, skirts and different fabrics before making the final decisions and Susanne spoke me through every detail, offering her expertise. It was such a warm and welcoming environment at the studio.

I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing my dress hanging up in the studio for the first time. It was even more beautiful than I could have ever pictured it. It was exactly what we had spoken about, and the detail and workmanship was out of this world. Susanne has such a talent for listening to your ideas and concepts for the wedding and incorporating it altogether with your dress.

I honestly would recommend Susanne to anyone looking for their wedding dress. It was an awesome experience to have a dress made just for you, to keep forever and that no one will have that exact same dress. When I say I am obsessed with my dress I mean OBSESSED and I don’t think I’ll ever not be.  Everyone commented on how much they loved my dress, even strangers in the street passing us stopped to tell me that my dress was magnificent. Susanne went over and above to provide a top-class service and I can’t thank her enough for everything she done.

I used to pass Susanne's shop on George Square on the bus on my way to work and always stared at the dresses in the window thinking that if/when I ever get married that's where I want to go for my dress.

When we got engaged and booked our wedding I went googling for "wedding shop George Square" to discover that Susanne had moved out to Motherwell and that all those dresses in the window I'd admired for years were actually made by her!

I made an appointment with Susanne and instantly loved her - she is the loveliest, kindest person and just a joy to be around. Then I discovered she is a creative genius!

I had some ideas that I put to Susanne and she put her ideas with mine and began sketching - WOW - I said yes to the dress simply by seeing the sketch she had drawn.

Susanne instantly knew what would be the best fit/shapes for me. We went through materials and picked what would suit the dress. Fast forward a couple of months and I go to Susanne's studio to find the most stunning dress there waiting for me. It was so much nicer than the image I had in my head - I tried it on and actually stood there thinking "I can't actually believe I'm wearing something this beautiful".

But the design process doesn't end there...Susanne had suggestions as to how we could make what was already a stunning dress more beautiful, we had a few further meetings and fittings; beads were added, a veil, the coat reshaped at the bottom, a change for night time introduced (I took the coat off and put another stunning top piece on) - Susanne was not letting this dress leave until it was PERFECT!

I loved my dress so much. There's not a day that has passed since our wedding that I don't think about it, talk about it, and wonder when I can find an opportunity to wear it again (every anniversary I'll be sat at my dining table in it 🙂).

What I love most of all is that I'll never see another bride wearing the same dress and this is the reason I didn't buy a dress from a shop. I didn't think a bespoke made dress would be an option for me thinking it would be way out of my budget, however it was totally do-able.

Everyone should have their own custom made dress - and the designer should be Susanne. I could literally write a book on my Susanne Christyne experience.

I'm gutted that our dress journey has ended - Susanne - I adore you! Thank you so much for making me look and feel like an absolute princess xx

Incredibly talented and all round wonderful human being is how I'd best describe Susanne Christyne.

I first met Susanne when my sister got her to design her wedding dress 3 years ago and she was absolutely amazing. So it seemed only fitting that when it was my turn, I went to see her first. From start to finish Susanne makes you feel like you are the only bride in the world. She takes you through every process so carefully and listens exactly to what you want, like or dislike. I wasn't having a 'big fancy do' so I was running a bit late on the dress front and my style is a bit 'alternative' so I knew I wouldn't be able to get something off the peg but Susanne managed to create a dress unique to me. It pleasantly surprised my family and friends while still giving me witchy/Stevie nicks sleeves that I instantly fell in love with. She also sorted me out with the most loveliest hairstylist which took a lot of stress away.

I never thought I would have went for a 'traditional' wedding gown but I'm so happy I did and so grateful it was Susanne that designed and made it. My dress survived a beer garden reception, a trip to Glencoe and I can't wait to wear it again on our actual reception next year.

I have been recommending Susanne to everyone since my sister got married and I honestly urge any bride to be to make an appointment with her. You will not be disappointed - she simply is the best in the business.
